Sky Health Wellness Clinic now offers the Galleri multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test as part of our Advanced Testing menu. Galleri analyzes fragments of cell-free DNA in your blood for methylation patterns that can indicate the presence of a cancer signal and, when a signal is detected, can suggest the most likely tissue of origin to guide next diagnostic steps. It is a screening tool that complements guideline screenings such as colonoscopy, mammography, Pap tests, and low-dose CT for lung cancer. It is not a diagnostic test. How it works • Simple blood draw performed by our clinical staff. • The sample is processed in a CLIA-certified lab using DNA methylation profiling and machine learning. • Results indicate “signal detected” or “no cancer signal detected.” If detected, the report includes the most likely cancer signal origin to help your provider order targeted imaging or specialty referral. Who it is for Adults 50 years and older, or younger adults with elevated risk based on family history or other factors. It is most valuable for detecting signals from cancers that lack routine screening options. What it does not do Galleri does not replace recommended screenings. A “no signal detected” result does not rule out cancer. A “signal detected” result does not confirm cancer. Both false positives and false negatives can occur. All positive results require diagnostic follow-up.
